A History of Buell Motorcycles
Buell Motorcycles were manufactured in Wisconsin, USA by an ex-Harley Davidson engineer by the name of Erik Buell. While initially completely separate from the Harley Davidson brand, by 2003, Buell Motorcycles had become a wholly owned subsidiary of the motorbike giant.
Harley Davidson announced that they would be discontinuing the Buell brand in 2009 to focus on their Harley brand, and once the last Buell bike was manufactured, the number of Buell machines reached 136,923.
The design of the Buell motorcycles were heavily focussed on smooth handling, comfortable rides and should be easy to maintain. The engineering of Buell was highly influenced and based on the “Trilogy of Tech”, which means that the bikes have low, unsprung weight, frame rigidity and mass centralization.
The engines were designed to be fuel efficient, making them perfect for street riding and personal, everyday use.
While Buell machines are no longer manufactured, why not give someone else the chance to experience these incredible machines by selling your Buell to us here at We Want Your Motorbike? You’ll get a great cash offer and we’ll take your bike off your hands!
