The Belfast chapter of Hells Angels is restricted to those who have choppers of 750cc and above. With a strong reputation all over the world, Hells Angels is a stable of strength and honour and is a true brotherhood. There are rumours that this club can get a bit wild, so do your research to know what you may be getting into.

RatClubNI

The aim of The Northern Ireland Road and Touring Motorcycle Club (RatClubNI) is simple – to provide the best organised bike club in Northern Ireland. They have over ten years under their belt, of organising events which are great value for money! They now have over 160 members and membership is only £5. BelfastHog

In 1998, two keen motorcyclists opened a Harley Davidson dealership in Northern Ireland. In the same month, Provincewirde Harley Davidson began their chapter. The chapter has now gone on to host over 150 members. They also organise and run a yearly HOG rally ‘HOG’n’BOG’. They pride themselves on the lifel;ong friends people make and how everyone is equal. Motorcycle Events in Belfast

There are multiple events which happen on the regular in and around Belfast. Whilst you may know of these through club membership, if you aren’t in a club and still want to get involved somehow, these events are a great way to do so. 

The Irish Short Circuit Championship

The Belfast and District Motor Club conducts the Irish Short Circuit Championship every year. This consists of three races, the first on Easter Monday, the second on the first Saturday of June, and the third on the first Saturday of September, all of them at the Kirkistown Race Circuit in County Down, some 25 miles away. 

They are conducted in various classes, and the Easter Monday race saw some 200 participants. The Belfast and District Motor Club also encourages non-competitive racing at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit, about 30 miles away from Belfast. 

Masters Superbike Championship

Bishopscourt also usually hosts certain rounds of the Masters Superbike Championship. This is Ireland’s biggest Motorcycle Racing championship with attracts some of the best short circuit racers. Expect an impressive lineup of local starts and up and coming young riders. The series has run wince 2011 and is the ideal grounds for young irish riders looking to build a career. The North West 200

The International NorthWest 200 is ireland’s largest outdoor sporting event. Originating in 1929, it has now grown to extreme heights and has gone on to produce many decades of iconic racing heritage. This race usually takes place between the towns of Coleraine, Portstewart and Portrush (also known as ‘The Triangle’), but can change over the years. 

It is one of the fastest street circuits in the world, with riders touching speeds of 200 mph. Check out their website for more information. 2020 dates are to be announced soon too!

The Irish may know a thing or two about their bikes, but they also are passionate about a good ale! There are some amazing bars and pubs in Belfast to use as a meeting spot, or even a drinking spot, when not out on the bike. Here are just a few.

Barking Dog Restaurant

Suitable for large gatherings, this is one of the best places if you are your buddies want amazing food. It is in fact in the top 50 restaurants in all of Belfast. It costs about £40 for two so isn’t too bad. Expect amazing beer, brewed in-house and a relaxing atmosphere. Their beer garden is a nice extra in the warmer months too.

Lavery’s

This is Belfast’s oldest family-owned bar, this spot is perfect for everything. Some even say it has the best bar menu in Belfast. Speak to anyone and they will only have positive words for Laverys. The menu is irresistible, with the drinks menu spoiling you for choice. Whilst you may have to wait in line on a weekend, it’s certainly worth it. They even have a comedy club on the first and third Wednesday of every month if you fancy a pint and a laugh with your biker buddies.

Rollie’s Bar and Grill

If you are your friends want no fuss, classic grub and a place to meet up on your bikes, Rollie’s is the one. There’s good beer, good food and super-friendly people.
