Start at Duffryn on Lighthouse road and continue through the B4239 to Wentloog Avenue. The trip is merely 10 kilometres in length. There are some scenic straights along the coast, but the first half of the journey will take you through tight corners and hairpin turns.

Pontprennau to Watford Park

For people who want to experience riding through the slopes of Caerphilly Mountain, the trip from Pontprennau to Watford Park gives the perfect opportunity. Although only 11 kilometres in length, the entire trip consists of spectacular corners that will thrill the most hardened biker. Take the B4562 and then the A469 at the intersection all the way to Watford Park. Although there is not much traffic or police presence, the turns are quite treacherous, so ensure that you practice caution.

Cardiff to Brecon via Merthyr Tydfil

Some weekends, you just need to take your bike out and cruise the distance between Cardiff and Brecon to experience the country-side, lakes and hills in the region. Take the A470 close to Cardiff Crown Court and ride north all the way until you take A465 at the intersection, then take a detour to ride alongside the Pontsticill and Talybont Reservoirs, until you reach A40 that leads to Brecon.
